Alabama Fan Beaten In Fight After LSU Game Dies In Hospital
An Alabama fan who was beaten by two men while out celebrating Saturday's win over LSU has died as a result of his injuries. However, law enforcement says the fight was not over football.
Wbrz.com reports that 46-year-old Robert Bowers suffered serious injuries after being knocked unconscious this past Saturday night at the Ponchatoula Pub in Tangipahoa Parish.
Bowers was initially taken to North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond by ambulance. He was later transported to University Medical Center where he died Tuesday (11/06).
Wbrz reports the two men responsible for Bower's death have been identified as 27-year-old Azia Crockett and 24-year-old Ryan Anthony.
Both have been arrested and booked on felony manslaughter charges.
If you'd like to help Bower's family, they've set up a Facebook fundraiser page to help with medical costs. You can donate HERE.

"Friends and family had been asking for support for Bowers online using #rolltideforrobert as he fought to stay alive in the hospital this week, soliciting donations to help pay for medical expenses.
A family member tells WBRZ that Bowers, a Louisiana resident, was an adamant fan of the Crimson Tide and had gone out to watch the Bama-LSU game earlier that night. They believe the attack was motivated by Bowers' fandom."
