A quiet Sunday evening turned unusual when a Louisiana resident discovered a bag of Amazon packages sitting along the roadside in a neighborhood.

According to WBRZ, surveillance video shows an Amazon delivery truck entering the Easterly Heights subdivision in Walker off Highway 447 around 7 p.m. Instead of delivering packages door-to-door, the driver placed a large orange zipper bag near the entrance of the neighborhood before leaving.

Neighbor Makes Surprising Discovery

About an hour later, a passing resident noticed the bag and stopped to investigate. Unsure of what he might find, he carefully opened it.

Inside were multiple Amazon packages, some addressed to homes in nearby areas like Denham Springs, while others were destined for locations much farther away, including Belle Rose, more than 40 miles from Walker.

Even more concerning, at least one of the packages appeared to be completely empty.

The resident, who chose to remain anonymous, said he took the bag home to prevent theft and plans to bring the items to an Amazon drop-off location so they can be returned to their rightful owners.

Questions Raised About Delivery Practices

The incident has raised questions among residents about how something like this could happen during routine deliveries.

One neighbor described the situation as someone simply not finishing their job, leaving packages vulnerable to theft or damage.

Amazon Responds

An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the company is aware of the situation and is actively investigating what led to the unusual delivery.

The company also issued an apology to customers affected by the incident, acknowledging the inconvenience caused.
