A$AP Ferg is back with a new track.

On Thursday (May 9), Ferg dropped off “Pups," a new track featuring his A$AP Mob comrade, A$AP Rocky. On the Frankie P-produced song, the Harlem rappers spit braggadocious rhymes while name-dropping the Wu-Tang Clan and former U.S. President Barack Obama.

"Me and Flacko on a island with a few bad bitches/How my cousin make a mill off a du-rag business?/All my dawgs with the shit, you with a few cat litters/All the yellow with the black like the Wu back (Su)," Ferg raps on the song.

Meanwhile, Rocky comes through with his tough-as-nails bars.

"Had the whole Harlem World wearin' Under Armours/Under the armors, I'm a pretty muthafuckin' comma/Gorgeous comma, pretty much about to fuck your mama/Kinda runnin' late for this meetin' with Obama/I ain't mean it to rhyme, but call me when your mind right/Meet me with your romper, CC me when the vibe right/More money, more problem/More choppa, more drama/And I got these hoes, feelin' like Mo Bamba," he spits.

Ferg's new song is a song that pays homage to the old school. DMX fans probably recognize the song as a flip of DMX’s classic It's Dark and Hell Is Hot track, “Get at Me Dog.” Speaking to Ebro Darden on Beats 1 Radio Thursday, Ferg explained how he came to decide to flip an X sample.

"Me being a DMX fan since day one, all the way back to Trap Lord, my first album cover was inspired by DMX," Ferg explained. "And we did that song actually before X got out of jail. I didn't even know he was getting out, a week after we did that song. So it was like paying homage to him. My boy Frankie P worked on the beat, he reworked it. Added some 808s and we just brought it up to date."

There's no word if A$AP Ferg is dropping a new album, but it looks like he's cooking something up in the studio.
