Update (Sept. 26, 11:01 p.m. EST):

Cardi had to clap back with class, posting a video of Azealia Banks dancing to "Bodak Yellow" in the club on Instagram and Twitter. Peep the footage below.

Original Story:

While a generous handful of rappers, including Nicki Minaj and Pusha T, have come forward to send messages congratulating Cardi B on her hit record "Bodak Yellow" reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Azealia Banks has a different message for the Bronx star.

After getting wind of Cardi's record-breaking accomplishment, Banks, who has a reputation for getting herself into trouble on social media, took to Twitter to share her distinctively unfiltered opinion on the matter.

"She's only black when black want to include themselves in a success story," Banks wrote, speaking of Cardi and responding to another account's comments pointing out that Cardi is Black. She then responds once again, adding, "Because I thought she was going to be a Latina hottie and not a poor mans nicki. It went the other way now I'm over it."

"Charlemagne and black men in hiphop should have gotten me, remy AND nicki a number one before they gave cardi or iggy one," she tweeted, sparking a debate amongst the accounts' following. "But literally white guys buy black men away from black women and it's soo cringe."

"I’m sorry," she further elaborated during the multi-part thread, prior to deleting a majority of her tweets. "Black industry men are too hype for this Latina girl I’ve never seen them jump like this for remy or nicki. Spinning this ‘for the culture’ story when they are simply letting white men at Atlantic buy them into hating their own women."

Especially considering J. Cole recently offered Cardi B his advice on how to stay the course, it doesn't seem likely that the Bronx rapper will fire back at Banks. In fact, she even tweeted about the subject of female rappers, writing, "Every single FEMALE RAPPER CONGRATULATED ME TODAY .Is the best feeling cause I listened to ALL OF THEM."
