Barricades Going Out Along Parade Route in Lafayette
Here they come.
We thought that you should know that the Lafayette Police and Public Works will soon start to put barricades out for the Mardi Gras parades in Lafayette.
Police say that this process will start on Thursday morning and you should expect partial road closures as barricades are placed along the parade route.
The process will all start from E. Simcoe Street, then move into the downtown area, then ultimately make its way down Johnston St. From there, the barricades will be placed down Congress to Cajun Field.
Police expect it to take the Public Works Department two days to place all of the barricades along the parade route in Lafayette.
If you travel along the parade route you are highly encouraged to seek an alternate route this week and into Mardi Gras week.
