Viral Video Shows Baton Rouge Motorist Driving Into Deep Flood Waters

This is definitely why you should always avoid high standing water.

A video posted on the WX Chasing Facebook page shows a compact car being swept away after driving into flood waters in Baton Rouge.

According to the caption, the car hit the deep water and eventually began to float away to the point of needing rescue from DOTD. It's scary to see just how quickly the water moved the small vehicle, but luckily the motorist was able to be rescued by DOTD.

As heavy rains continue to fall around South Louisiana, let this be a reminder to avoid any and all high or standing water.
