We’re back with another midyear retrospective today — and this time, we're digging into the individual songs that lit our collective playlists on fire in 2017.

From the glistening indie rock of sister trio HAIM's "Want You Back," to the swirling psych-pop of Lana Del Rey's hopeful "LOVE," our favorite pop acts soundtracked the winter and spring seasons with uplifting anthems. Elsewhere on our playlists, artists like Banks tapped into our social anxieties with darker tracks like "Crowded Places," featured in the final season of GIRLS, while K-pop kings BTS kept us dancing with bangers like "Not Today."
