LSU alum and current free agent safety Tyrann Mathieu has excelled in the NFL over the last 9 seasons.

The three-time All-Pro and member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade team hasn't hit a wall either.

At 29 years old, Mathieu is coming off a Pro Bowl season with the Kansas City Chiefs. He's only missed a single game in the last 5 years.

So why hasn't he signed with a team yet?

Maybe he and his agent misjudged the market? Maybe he's mauling over several offers?

No one truly knows at this point, but he's visited with several teams, including his hometown New Orleans Saints.

Would he sign with the team?

Former Saints cornerback and New Orleans native Keenan Lewis thinks Mathieu should ink a deal to play for his hometown, something Mathieu may agree with judging from his reaction.

While it may have been the best decision of Lewis's life, it may not correlate to Mathieu signing with the Saints.
