Big Sean is a superstar, but recently he was put in check by girlfriend Ariana Grande's dad on Instagram with one hilarious comment.

We've all experienced an publicly embarrassing moment with our parents, whether it was at school, a party, on the phone—or the most common place these days, social media. Rapper Big Sean often brags about his boo, but he better watch his choice of words around 'Papa Grande.'

posted to his Instagram, Big Sean captioned the shot with one of his famous lines, "I give her that D....#Detroit"—repping his hometown, of course. Ariana's dad, clearly hip to the double entendre, chimed in with a protective comment that definitely put Sean in check.

Now that he knows Papa Grande is lurking, Sean will probably extra careful with his references to Ariana.
