As rumors circulate that Birdman and Lil Wayne have finally squashed their beef, Birdman spoke with Hot 97's Ebro Darden on Apple Music's Beats 1 radio show to discuss their relationship.

"Love, I grew up without that shit. That shit is not a part of my life," the "Desiigner Caskets" rhymer starts off before mentioning Wayne. "Far as me and shorty, I got that. I'ma make sure he straight, we straight, and we gon continue doing what we started. It's important to me that I finish the way I started." Lil Wayne and Birdman have been spotted out together in the past few weeks, leading everyone to believe the two have finally put their differences aside. On March 31, the two took photos together while celebrating Before Anythang's soundtrack release, their most recent appearance.

During the remainder of his interview with Ebro, Birdman also reveals their problematic relationship has affected their children as well. "His daughter's my godchild—I love her to death. That's my favorite," he says of Reginae Carter. "[Wayne] talks to my children all the time. It's just a weird relationship, but it's solid."

In another clip, Birdman speaks about the other leading stars on the Cash Money roster. After praising Drake for "single-handedly" held down the rap game in Wayne's absence, he goes on to call Nicki "the best female ever in hip-hop history" and compares her icon status to Beyonce, Rihanna and Katy Perry. Though agreeing with Ebro that Missy Elliot and Lil Kim took the game far for female MCs, Birdman believes they didn't take it to the level the "Motorsport" rapper did. "Even Lauryn [Hill], not the level that Nicki at," he adds. "But no disrespect, she got it, hands down."
