A New Jersey man had a very close call when he dangerously captured video of a tractor-trailer losing control on black ice and plowing over a guardrail, barely missing his vehicle.

The man started filming when he saw two large trucks swerve ahead of him, blocking I-95 this past Sunday near New Brunswick, New Jersey. While trying to capture a photo of that incident with his cellphone, he heard a loud noise behind him and turned his camera in the opposite direction.

What he didn't know is that a huge semi-truck was heading straight towards his vehicle.

The video looks like something out of a movie as the truck swerves and crosses multiple lanes before crashing over a guardrail, narrowly missing the man as he filmed.

Many criticized the man for filming and not assisting the people who he filmed getting into an accident. The driver described the situation in the description on his YouTube page,

Once I turned off camera, I called in 911 and reported the accident. After that I came to the truck and the rest of the cars to verify they were alright. After arrival of NJ State Trooper and his dismissal confirming that he does not require my presence, I left the scene.

To see this type of accident in a place where icy weather is common is exactly why I agree with major roadways closing when we get ice in south Louisiana.

I hope the guy who filmed this bought a lottery ticket that day.
