Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz opened up in a recent Rolling Stone interview, revealing that he would never live in his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA again.

So, what is Boosie's reasoning for writing off BR?

I don't feel like it's good for rappers who are on the level I'm on to be in their (home) city like that," he said. "That's where you're gonna get killed at, in your city. It's just facts. That's why we hustle to get out of the hood. You've always got to go back to your hood and show a little love, but it ain't no place where you lay your head."

Boosie just dropped his long-awaited Touchdown 2 Cause Hell album last Tuesday. The project moved nearly 60,000 copies in the first week, falling just short of the No. 2 spot behind Taylor Swift's 1989 and A$AP Rocky's AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP.

Speaking on his new album Boosie told Rolling Stone,

"This is perhaps my most diverse and complete work to date"

In the interview Boosie also talked about recording songs while in Angola with C-Murder, who is currently serving a life sentence for killing a teenager in a Harvey, LA club.
