Although the location of the proposed event has not been released yet, it appears that the 'Boycott Bowl' concert is a 'go' for Super Bowl Sunday in New Orleans. Meant as a protest for Saints fans who feel we got robbed in the NFC Championship game, this all star get together, including some Grammy Award winning Acadiana musicians, will be held during the 'Big Game' on Feb 3.

The official Facebook page for the event states 'For obvious reasons Boycott Bowl will be held February 3, 2019. It will be a music festival that celebrates our culture and benefits New Orleans musicians, chefs, bartenders, and the entire service industry rather than the NFL.'

The event has been organized by Brandon Rizzuto, Travis Laurendine and “Kango Slimm” Williams, who, along with other Saints fans, have raised over $5,000 to put on the event. Proceeds will benefit the NORD Foundation, which is the local recreation development foundation in the Big Easy. As we get updates on who is performing, and where it will be held, we'll pass it along to the Who Dat Nation, for sure!

According to nola.com, the lineup so far includes:

  • CHOPPA, leading a “Choppa Style” Dance Contest
  • Shamarr Allen & The Underdogs, performing “Do The Sean Payton.”
  • Partners N Crime and The Big EZ Band
  • The Vettes
  • Ricky B
  • Flow Tribe
  • Khris Royal and Dark Matter
