Brewery Set To Honor McNeese State With Custom Beer Can

Many universities have their own "official beer' The Ragin Cajuns and the LSU Tigers have one. Now the fans of the McNeese State Cowboys can say they've got their own customized beer cans. 

The beer will be Louisiana Lager as brewed by the Lake Charles based Crying Eagle Brewery. That beer is the flagship brew of the Crying Eagle brand. But while the contents inside the can won't be brand new, the can itself will not only be unique but it will be a collector's item.

The brewery only plans to produce about 250 cases of the Louisiana Lager in the McNeese Cowboy can. If you do the math that's only about 6,000 cans of beer. The same amount needed for one heck of tailgate party.

The brewery plans to launch the customized cans on September the 15th to coincide with the McNeese Cowboys game versus Nicholls State in Lake Charles. It will be the team's home opener and a great reason to raise a cold one for lovers of beer and football.
