McDonald’s on Hwy 90 in Broussard Closes its Doors for the Final Time as New Location Set to Open Soon
A popular fast food staple in Broussard has marked the end of an era as the McDonald's on Hwy 90 has closed its doors for the very last time.
But don't worry, McDonald's will still be serving Broussard as Miller Management is simply moving on down the road (literally) to a brand new store off St. Nazaire across from Walmart.
Even though the Broussard McDonald's is moving to a brand new location, the Hwy 90 store has been a fixture in the area for almost 30 years now.
Larry Miller is the owner-operator of multiple McDonald's locations in Acadiana including the Broussard store and told me the location off the frontage road opened up back in 1995.
I grew up in the Broussard-Youngsville area and I can remember the excitement when that McDonald's location opened up as there wasn't much in our area at the time. This was also around the same time that Albertson's opened up along with a new parkway bearing the same name.
Obviously, there has been exponential growth in Broussard since then and Miller and his team will be capitalizing on all the new activity across from Walmart off of St. Nazaire.
While the move makes a ton of sense, there are some folks who will miss ducking off of Hwy 90 on their commute to get their McDonald's fix at the (now) old Broussard location, but the overwhelming majority of people are excited to see the new store.
If you're interested in working with Miller and his McDonald's team, tap in on their Facebook page for more information as we wish them the best of luck when they open up the new store in two weeks.
