Cajun Navy Arrives In Houston—Here’s How You Can Help Them
The Louisiana Cajun Navy has touched down in Houston.
A caravan of trucks with boats in tow made their way toward Houston and other areas of Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey and are set up to assist with rescue efforts. The official Louisiana Cajun Navy Facebook page posted directions for those in need of assistance as well as those who would like to help out.
If you don't have a boat, but want to help with the Cajun Navy rescue efforts, Bead Busters & Float Rentals in Youngsville will be accepting donations of water, non-perishables, and baby supplies.
At least 25 inches of rain have fallen in Houston and parts of Southeastern Texas since Harvey made landfall late Friday evening and officials say the worse is still yet to come.
First responders have been swift to respond to residents who are trapped by the floodwaters, but without good samaritans and groups like the Cajun Navy, there would be thousands of people stranded, or worse.
As they head out to rescue those in need, we're praying for the Cajun Navy and those affected.
Bless you, boys.
