Louisiana Ragin' Cajun senior outfielder Evan Powell was named Houston Regional's Most Outstanding Player, while two of his teammates joined him on the Houston Regional All-Tournament Team.

Powell hit a two RBI single in the fifth inning of today's regional win over the Rice Owls, drawing a walk in the win as well.

Powell finished with 5 hits in three games in Houston, including a 3 hit performance in the dramatic 7-6 victory over Rice last Friday.

Joining Powell on the All-Tournament Team are fellow Ragin' Cajuns senior 1B Greg Davis and junior SS Blake Trahan.

After winning the Houston Regional, Louisiana now prepares to face the LSU Tigers in the Baton Rouge Super Regional this weekend.
