Cajuns Announce Parking Adjustments for 2020 Season
The fans have spoken.
The Louisiana Athletics Administration has listened.
The department announced today parking adjustments, effective for the 2020 season.
The huge parking area across from M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park will now be a general parking area, free to all fans on a first come, first served basis. In addition, tailgating areas will be free of charge and RV spaces will be available in that area on a first come, first served basis.
The former RV lot right outside the stadium will now be used for handicapped accessible parking.
Reserved parking for donors will be in the lot on the west side of Cajun Field.
"We are constantly looking for ways to improve the game day experiences for our fans and this parking plan will do just that," Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard said. "We listened to and heard our fans. These adjustments, along with our fan-friendly concessions, will provide for a great experience in one of the best venues in the country."
In addition, the department will work with outside entities to try and diminish conflicts on baseball weekends. There will be an adjustment necessary for Mardi Gras weekend, as the Cajuns do have a home series that weekend. Parking for that weekend will be announced at a later date.
