A small SUV caught on fire Friday morning at Duson Elementary School, luckily no one was injured in the blaze.

According to a Facebook post by the Duson Police Department, a mother was dropping her kids off at school when the vehicle caught fire.

The mother was able to remove the kids from the vehicle before it went up in flames and was even able to move the vehicle away from other cars and buildings in the area.

The fire was quickly extinguished by the Duson Volunteer Fire Department. The Duson Police Department applauds all responding agencies for their effort in keeping the kids safe at school.

The elementary school was placed under a soft lockdown while the fire was extinguished.
