All of hip-hop seemed to come out in support of Cardi B on Monday when it was announced she'd hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her hit single "Bodak Yellow." But sticking to her reputation, Azealia Banks made it a point to attack Cardi, calling her a poor man's Nicki Minaj saying she didn't see other Black men in the industry "jump" for artists like Nicki and Remy Ma the way they did for Cardi. Naturally, the Bronx stripper-turned-rapper had a classy response on deck.

Late Tuesday night (Sept. 26), Cardi posted a video from earlier this year of Azealia dancing to "Bodak Yellow" on Instagram and Twitter. "One of the reasons Bodak Yellow went #1!" wrote Cardi in the video's caption. "Cuz even the HATERS love it!"

When we interviewed Azealia a couple months ago, she praised Cardi for being so relatable. "You should have had Cardi B on the Freshman list," said Azealia before explaining how she got into the Bronx rapper's music.

"I really, really like Cardi B," Azealia continued. "I followed Cardi B on Instagram before she started rapping and I was like, Oh my God, this girl just reminds me of all the girls I went to middle school with, all the girls I grew up on the block with, all the Dominican babysitters. I grew up with girls just like Cardi B. So I always thought she was funny, and when she started rapping, I was like… what is she doing? Then I heard “Foreva” and I was like, Okay, this is really fucking good, she’s not playing. Then I heard a couple other songs and I was like, Oh shit, Cardi’s not playing! And now I’m a fan of Cardi B’s music and her personality."
