Carencro Police Investigating Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash On W. Gloria Switch Road

Carencro Police are asking drivers to avoid a section of W. Gloria Switch Road Tuesday (June 9) morning as officers investigate a fatal crash involving multiple vehicles.

According to Carencro Police Chief David Anderson, the crash involved at least three vehicles and resulted in at least one fatality.

Fatal Crash Under Investigation

The crash occurred on W. Gloria Switch Road in the area of Turf Road and Desoto Road.

Authorities say the scene spans approximately 100 to 150 yards, making it a significant crash investigation and requiring a large section of the roadway to remain closed while first responders and investigators work the scene.

Few details have been released about the circumstances leading up to the crash, and officials have not yet identified the victim pending notification of family members.

As of approximately 8:15 a.m., W. Gloria Switch Road was shut down between Turf Road and Desoto Road.
