While the fast food chain is known for its cheeseburgers, this new item involves chicken and is an epic twist on the legendary Big Mac.

"With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we’re excited to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans, Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s USA said in a press release.

We never thought we would see the day McDonald's would launch a Chicken Big Mac, but apparently, they secretly launched it in California this past weekend to build up the hype for the official launch.

Chicken Big Mac Headed To Louisiana Locations

The Big Mac has been a McDonald's menu item since 1968, and now, for the first time, a Chicken Big Mac will be available starting October 10th.

"The Chicken Big Mac features the toppings fans know and love from the original Big Mac®, but with two tempura battered chicken patties in place of the two all-beef patties for the ultimate twist on the beloved classic. Just like the OG, the Chicken Big Mac is topped with special sauce, lettuce, cheese and pickles on a sesame seed bun."

One question remains: is the Chicken Big Mac a Big Mac? McDonald's teamed up with Big Mac superfan and internet star Kai Cenat to taste the Chicken Big Mac and answer for themselves on his Twitch channel.
