Chris Brown to Perform at Grammys
Team Breezy, rejoice! Chris Brown is not only scheduled to appear at this year’s Grammys, but word is he will also be performing.
Brown is up for three awards this year (Best R&B Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song). Showing off his skills onstage will be yet a big step in Breezy’s comeback following the massive success of ‘F.A.M.E.’
Following Brown’s pre-Grammy assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, many believed that Brown was consequently and indefinitely banned from “Music’s Biggest Night.” However, in December a source told Radar Online that those reports were untrue and that Rihanna has no issues with Brown attending the ceremony this year. This month, the reason why Rihanna’s cool with it may have been uncovered: the two have been reportedly hooking up. (Though they both deny it, where there’s smoke — and this much tabloid talk — there’s usually at least a hint of fire.) RiRi herself is slated to perform ‘Princess of China‘ with Coldplay.
E! Online reports that details are scant on Brown’s performance thus far because the plans are still being worked out, so it’s unclear whether he will perform hits from ‘F.A.M.E.’ or new material from his upcoming followup, ‘Fortune.’
Despite his past issues in his personal life, Brown is an undeniably powerful performer. We can’t wait to see what Breezy has up his sleeve.
