Will the NOLA No-Call be the play that keeps the Saints out of contention for another Super Bowl?

Will they miss the playoffs altogether? Will they be marred with injuries that reduce them to a sub-.500 team? Will Drew Brees show his age and make us wonder if he overstayed his welcome in the NFL?

If you're a Saints fan with any common sense or memories of seasons past, you're well aware of how the NFL works and that nothing should be taken for granted in this league. With that said, FS1's Colin Cowherd seems to believe the Saints are set for a disastrous season and it all stems from a comment from former Saints running back Mark Ingram who claimed: "the Saints will never get over last year’s NFC Championship loss."

Here's what else he had to say.

Hey, Colin might be right. But Colin may also be wrong. It's his job to make bold predictions and make statements that garner reactions. As someone in the comments pointed out, this is the same guy who predicted the "end of Alabama's football dynasty" five years ago, and we see how that turned out.

That example should serve as a solid reminder that the game is played on the field and not at a desk full of talking heads.

Is Colin Cowherd a Saints hater? No way. This is the same guy that has praised Drew Brees more than just about any other sports show host throughout his career, but if the Saints had any "fog" over that infamous non-call in the NFC Championship, this may just be the locker room material that will help to clear it.

Oh, and by the way Colin, Michael Thomas just signed. :)
