Colin Kaepernick's girlfriend, Hot 97 personality Nessa, is very disappointed in Jay-Z after the rapper announced his partnership with the NFL earlier this week.

On Thursday afternoon (Aug. 15), Nessa, who previously denied TMZ's report that said Hov had spoken to Kaepernick about the deal, used her Instagram account to criticize Hov's most recent move. She says he's played a role in the metaphorical burying the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

"It’s typical for the NFL to buy different PR looks to cover up their dirt-that’s nothing new," Nessa wrote in a caption for her Instagram post that included a video of Kaepernick throwing footballs. "But what is disgusting and disappointing is Jay-Z let them use him. Whether Jay-Z knew it or not (I don’t doubt his intelligence-so I would think he knew) he helped the NFL bury who he said is an iconic figure, Colin Kaepernick."

Hov has been an open supporter of Kaepernick since the rapper protested police brutality by kneeling during the playing of the national anthem before football games during the 2016 NFL season. He even wore Kaepernick's jersey during a performance on Saturday Night Live.

Because of that, many were completely shocked when Hov and the NFL announced their partnership a couple of days ago. While Hov and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell say they're going to work toward ensuring the NFL is all-inclusive and focused on promoting equality, Nessa and many others have made it clear they don't support the new alliance. Especially when Kaepernick has been unable to secure a new contract with an NFL team because of what some people think is a plan to keep him blackballed from the league.

"We will never turn our backs on @kaepernick7 because your idols decided to work with the same organization that is actively keeping Colin unemployed all because he peacefully protested against social injustice in black and brown communities, specifically police brutality," she writes in another part of her IG post. "So really, how can Jay-Z and the NFL utter social justice in their partnership while keeping Colin unemployed because of his social justice work?"

For his part, Jay-Z has maintained that Kaepernick's kneeling protest was never about his own job and that the movement was about drawing attention to the issues in order to take the next steps toward equality.
