Coolio appeared in court earlier this week (Oct. 25), pleading guilty to possession of a concealed weapon, accepting a plea deal that gave him three years probation and 45 days of community service. In footage obtained by TMZ, the judge can be heard commenting on the rapper's hair style, what has long been a trademark look.

"You’ve been in front of me before, do I look the same?," the judge says above around the 37 second mark. "Pretty much, huh? You’re a little bit different, you’ve got a different little hair style going here than in the past but it suits you I guess."

In mid-September, Coolio was arrested at LAX airport after a book bag belonging to one of the members of his crew was flagged by TSA and upon further investigation was found to contain a loaded gun. The charge can wind up being a misdemeanor or a felony depending on whether Coolio stays out of trouble during his time on probation.

"If you stay out of trouble, then this case can be reduced to a misdemeanor," the judge said. "At the end of your probationary period, your attorney can come to court and ask for it to be taken off your record, which is called an expungement, so your record can be clean.”

In the above video, Coolio says it won't be any issue to keep a clean sheet as he's not into any criminal activity. "There was a misunderstanding and I do not condone the use of firearms legal or illegal. Thanks to the court and the attorneys for handling this for me so I can still do the good work that I do win the community," he said afterward.
