Curfew Extended for Portions of Lafayette Parish
"Several locations in Lafayette Parish are still without power and significant amounts of debris blocking roadways. Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory after consultation with the Mayors, Chiefs of Police, and Chiefs of Fire in Lafayette Parish, is strongly advising residents to stay off roadways unless travel is absolutely necessary. Several electrical and debris removal crews remain active across the Parish and it is critical they be allowed to continue recovery operations without the risk of putting residents or themselves in danger.
Additionally, the municipalities of Broussard, Carencro, Duson, and Youngsville will be under a curfew beginning at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2020 and ending at 6:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2020. During those hours, only essential and emergency personnel will be allowed to travel. All Parish residents not under curfew are asked to avoid travel to allow clean-up work to continue."
