The 2020 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is one of the casualties of the coronavirus pandemic. It was cancelled for 2020 and re-scheduled for April 22 – May 2, 2021. They had originally thought about just postponing the wildly popular 51 year old festival until later in the fall, but sadly we now know that is not going to happen.

According to the OffBeat Magazine, the deadline to get a refund for tickets is 11:59 PM CST on Friday, May 29, with no exceptions. The festival is offering full refunds for those who purchased 2020 tickets, and there are several ways to get that done, depending on how you paid and where you purchased your ticket. But if you just want to transfer your 2020 ticket to next year, that can be done as well. Complete information can be found the Jazz Fest website, but you can also reach out to Festival Ticketing Support for assistance at (855) 679-1677 or email support@festivalticketing.com from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST.

According to a statement from festival organizers that was sent out when the 2020 festival was cancelled 'Fans who purchased tickets online will receive an email from our Ticket Office with options to either transfer or refund their tickets'. If you did not receive that, or purchased your tickets at Smoothie King Center, details on what, if anything, you need to do can be found on the festival website here. They also note that 'No refunds or exchanges will be available at the Smoothie King Center box office at any time. 2020 tickets purchased at the Smoothie King Center will not be valid at the 2021 Festival.' If you are looking to get your money back, the clock is ticking. Good luck!
