I love seeing the look on my friends' faces when they move into a new home they love. You can see the pride and excitement in their social media posts and definitely during their housewarming parties.

Until recently, I never stopped to think that manufactured homes can provide many of the high-end, custom amenities that people often associate with traditional homes — for an even better price. When I toured The Laney and The Abigail models at Timberline Homes of Louisiana, I was shocked to see that the bathrooms were nicer than the bathrooms in most new homes.

Both models feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchens have large islands and state-of-the-art ranges. One of the homes was sitting right by a major highway, but inside, you couldn't hear the traffic at all. Definitely not what I expected when I heard the words "mobile home." There's so much more room and it feels and sounds so solid.

Timberline Homes is the an exclusive dealer of SE Homes, but they also offer custom design options. Throughout the whole process, they will explain all your options (including financing and land-in-lieu financing options), and you can get all the latest styles and finishes, including sliding barn doors and rustic wood feature walls, large kitchen islands, exposed beams and wood-look flooring.

Ree and Sara and the team at Timberline are just great, man. They know the business inside and out, and every time we're there, I see them getting things done for their customers that goes way beyond the call of duty. They just care, and I think that's a pretty cool thing to see.

Ready to get shopping? Check them out online at timberlinelafayette.com or call/text Sara at 337-517-1988. They are not providing tours because of the Coronavirus outbreak, but you can still ask questions, take virtual tours and apply for financing online.
