The United States of America may remain divided after a particularly contentious 2016 presidential election race, but the past year's pop music acts have, conversely, found a way to come together.

DJ Earworm, who's annually mashed up pop hits into single, radio-ready Frankensteins since 2007, has just unveiled his 2016 masterpiece, and, well, it's the past 12 months in a sonic-nutshell. Called "Into Pieces," the four-minute arrangement, which features 25 of the year's biggest tracks, kicks off with The Weeknd's "Starboy" and Zayn's "Pillowtalk" before giving way to Sia's "Cheap Thrills," Twenty One Pilots' "Ride" and "This is What You Came For" by Rihanna and Calvin Harris. Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and The Chainsmokers (with both Halsey and Daya features) also find their way into the mix, naturally.

Last year, Earworm managed a huge feat by doubling his typical U.S.O.P. output with 50 featured songs, which he credited to pop's then-shifting landscape.

"I try to get a feel of what is in the zeitgeist,” he told Billboard. “Music has been going through a softer phase than it was a few years ago."
