President Joe Biden has started off his presidency in a bit of controversy. He's already being sued by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, he's revoked the Keystone XL Pipeline permit and what he had on his wrist during the inauguration has folks doing a double-take.

Rolex, the power watch of the rich and/or famous. Most average Americans will never own one. So was it too much for the new President of the free world to wear one during his inauguration in the middle of a pandemic when the government is sending out stimulus checks to families who are struggling to make ends meet?

Based on Biden's state and federal tax returns from 2016, 2017 and 2018, Forbes estimates Joe Biden's net worth at approximately $9 million. Let's face it, Joe Biden can clearly afford to own a Rolex.

His is an entry-level Rolex that goes for about $7000. Rolex does make a watch that's nicknamed the President but that's not the one Biden was seen wearing when he received the COVID vaccine and again at the inauguration.

So President Biden has a Rolex, what's the big deal?

Many Americans think it's a slap in the face to the citizens of this country who have fallen on such hard times in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Then, there are those who believe wearing a prestigious watch while celebrating the pinnacle of his career is 100% acceptable and shows no disrespect to American citizens who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The President has a Datejust described on Rolex.com as, "oyster perpetual Datejust 36 in white rolesor featuring a bright black dial and a jubilee bracelet".

Social media had nothing much to say about what other men or women were wearing including their jewelry or custom-made outfits.

Do you think it was disrespectful?
