One Acadiana is calling on creative minds and innovators to submit their groundbreaking business concepts that will breathe new life into one of Downtown Lafayette's most iconic structures – the Sans Souci Building. The challenge aims to activate this historic location with dynamic new food & beverage, retail, or other innovative business concepts.

The winning contestant will not only receive a substantial capital infusion of up to $100,000 but also secure a lease for the extraordinary Sans Souci Building.

Where

The Sans Souci Building, nestled in Parc Sans Souci in Downtown Lafayette, boasts a rich history dating back to the 1840s.

As Lafayette's oldest commercial building, it has served various purposes over the years, from an inn and newspaper office to a crafts store and the beloved Sans Souci Bookstore, the original namesake for the park.

One Acadiana President and CEO Troy Wayman envisions the winning business as a hub that attracts visitors to the park.

We want it to be something that will provide traffic for the park. So some type of food and beverage, some type of retail. You want it to be something that will attract people to come in and spend time at the park.
