Drake Brings Big Freedia and Yung Miami Onstage at New Orleans Show
Drake has been bringing a ton of special guests with him during his joint tour with Migos, and his New Orleans show last night (Sept. 24) was no different. The Toronto rapper brought out local bounce music vet Big Freedia and City Girls' Yung Miami throughout the duration of the lively performance.
Freedia, who memorably opens "Nice For What" and calls out "these hoes" during the track's bridge, joined Drizzy onstage to lead in the crowd in an extended breakdown. She later hopped on IG to thank Drake for including her in the evening. "Tonight was amazing thank you @champagnepapi for allowing me to do my thang on stage with you tonight !!" she wrote.
Yung Miami, for her part, delivered her duo's portion of the "In My Feelings" bridge, including the iconic line, "Fuck that Netflix and chill, what's your net-net-net worth?"
It was a bittersweet moment for Miami, whose City Girls partner JT was booked in federal prison the same week that the group's breakout feature on Drake's album Scorpion was released. The Quality Control signees dropped their debut mixtape Period in May.
Drake's oft-delayed tour's New Orleans stop was the first since he fell sick, forcing him and Migos to postpone their Miami dates. The two Miami shows were rescheduled for Nov. 13 and 14, days before the tour is scheduled to close in Atlanta on Nov. 17.
