Look out world, Drake's got a new album on the way. He said as much in the closing moments of his 2017 OVO Fest. Check out his end of show announcement for yourself below.

"I'm about to go back to making this new album in Toronto just for you," Drizzy said to the crowd in front of Toronto's Budweiser stage on Monday night (Aug. 7). "I'll see you next year, we'll be bigger, we'll be better. I go by the name of Drake, this a OVO Sound ting for life."

With this announcement, it's clear Drizzy's playing no games going forward—not that he was even doing that before. His last project, titled More Life, broke Spotify's one-day streaming record upon its release back in March. A short time later, he went on to collect 13 trophies at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.

Considering that a good deal of Drizzy's Billboard trophies were the result of his post-Views success in 2016, there's a really good chance 2018 will see the Toronto rapper collecting trophies for More Life, which technically isn't an album. His next project will technically be his proper follow-up to Views.

There's really no way of knowing just how far into his new album Drake's gotten, but don't be surprised if you see videos of the rapper playing snippets of the project in the near future.
