Customers Say They Were Eating When Lights Suddenly Went Out At Eunice Waffle House
A bizarre incident at a Waffle House in Eunice became one of the most talked-about clips on social media this past weekend after a viral video allegedly showed a man cutting power to the restaurant before running away.
According to numerous social media posts, customers inside the restaurant over the weekend were left in the dark when power suddenly went out at the location.
The situation gained traction after popular Louisiana social media page Shade Room Louisiana shared an NSFW video allegedly originating from the Snapchat account of the individual seen in the clip. The video appears to show someone approaching an exterior electrical panel and shutting off power to the building before fleeing the area.
Social Media Users Claim They Witnessed The Outage
As the video spread online, dozens of commenters claimed they were either at the restaurant when the outage happened or knew someone who was.
One commenter wrote that they were inside the Waffle House at the time and said customers were initially confused about why the lights had gone out before later connecting the outage to the viral video.
Another person joked that they had been left "eating ham in the dark," while others questioned why critical electrical infrastructure appeared to be so easily accessible.
The incident quickly became a topic of conversation and, of course, jokes and memes.
Alleged Dispute Before The Power Was Cut
According to information shared by Shade Room Louisiana, the man was reportedly denied entry into the restaurant because he allegedly had beverages that were not permitted inside.
The social media post claims the situation escalated after he was asked to leave. Shortly afterward, the video allegedly showing the power being shut off surfaced online.
Shade Room Louisiana later updated its post, claiming the individual in the video had been identified. However, authorities have not publicly announced any charges or confirmed details regarding the incident.
