There will be a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, September 26th from 9am to 1pm at the City of Scott Maintenance Building.
The event is open to all resident of the city of Scott ONLY. Participants must also show proof of residency (i.e. Driver's license, water bill, etc.)
They will be accepting:
- paints
- automobile batteries
- motor oil and antifreeze
- household cleaners and chemicals
- pesticides, flammables, corrosives and white goods
- electronic waste (limit of 5 tires per vehicle, no tires over 500 pounds)
The collection is for households only. Large quantities from businesses, farms or commercial operations will not be accepted.
Prohibited: infectious and medical wastes, biological and radioactive materials, compressed gas cylinders, ammunition, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and explosives.
