An Acadiana mom named Daijha Raquel has created a popular Facebook list amongst local parents that compiles a variety of fun things to do during the summer with kids.

Now that kids are out of school parents are constantly looking for ways to keep them entertained instead having them cooped up in the house all day watching TV. This list has everything from ways to keep cool outside at local splash pads to things to do indoors on rainy days. As people comment more ideas on Facebook she continues to update the list.
