Josh Guillory, the Lafayette lawyer who challenged U.S. Representative Clay Higgins for the Congressional seat last Fall, says he is considering a run for the Lafayette Mayor-President's seat.

The announcement was made on Guillory's Facebook page, Josh Guillory for Congress. This comes after current Mayor-President Joel Robideaux's press conference on Friday announcing his decision not to run for re-election.

While Guillory was unsuccessful in his effort to beat incumbent Higgins, his name has become more known in the Lafayette community. As a matter of fact, on OFFSIDES on Friday, multiple callers named Guillory as someone they would like to see run for Lafayette Mayor-President.

In Guillory's letter BELOW, he mentions "the number of calls and e-mails I received over the weekend urging me to run for Lafayette Mayor-President."
