Former Saints Tight End Ben Watson Suspended 4 Games
The retired and unretired NFL tight end new before he even made his full decision to play another season that he would be suspended for the first four games of the season.
When Ben Watson retired from the NFL after the 2018 season with the Saints, he thought he was done for good. He started undergoing a legal testosterone treatment in March to help his body heal after 15 seasons in the NFL.
He says in a Facebook statement that he knew once he decided in May to play another season that he would start it with a four game suspension. He was open and honest with the clubs that he talked to.
The league administered the random test March 29th, and Watson was sent a letter on May 3rd that he had tested positive. He decided on playing another season with the Patriots on May 9th.
