It's always sad to hear of folks losing their jobs. Frank's International has reported it has laid off a few employees at its Lafayette location.

According to spokeswoman Alison Greene, there are about 600 employees at that location, and a "small percentage" of them were terminated.

Greene would also say the reason for the layoffs is because of Frank's "company-wide profitability improvement project."

The layoffs are reportedly part of the broader efforts to streamline their organization.

Earlier in November, Frank's reported a ten percent decrease in revenue for the quarter and a net loss of $23.8 million.
