As storms pushed through Acadiana Friday afternoon, one small town in Evangeline Parish was hit very hard.

The Town of Mamou had a number of homes and businesses destroyed as storms swept across the area. While there is no official report of a tornado in Mamou, many have reported to me that it felt and looked like one bounced through the small town.

A number of photos show roofs blown off of buildings, power lines down and large trees uprooted after the storm.

Here's what it looks like in Mamou as of Friday afternoon. There are no reports of injuries as of now, but we will continue to follow this developing story out of Mamou.
