The money phone war continues—sort of. Maybe. Recently, JAY-Z had an interview on the Rap Radar podcast, and during the discussion, he explained surprisingly incendiary line from "The Story of O.J.," a track which plenty of people seemingly took offense to Future—who uploaded an image of himself holding a money phone to Snapchat in what many considered to be a clapback at Jay a little over a month ago—appeared to respond that same day. Check out the Atlanta rapper's tweets below.

First let's take a look at what Hov said in the song in question. On "The Story of O.J.," Hov raps, "Y'all on the 'Gram holdin' money to your ear/There's a disconnect, we don't call that money over here."

If you've been following Hov, that line easily falls right into line with other flexes he's made throughout his career. The thing is, it can also be read as a call to earning and flaunting more sustainable forms of wealth. That's an idea Hov touches on during his interview with Rap Radar.

"I didn’t even tell people to stop using the money phone," Hov said during the revealing interview. "I didn’t say that. I had to listen again like 'How is this being misinterpreted?' Because I just said it ain’t money to us. It ain’t. That’s just an honest statement."

Jay goes on to elaborate on the line he believes people don't understand. "Money to us, me and my three friends on the floor at Golden State, not because the seats are expensive but because that’s what we’re doing, you’ve never seen that, or, building brands and pushing it forward. That can’t be the end all, that can’t be our goal, to get money and show it on the Internet. That can’t be our goal, that’s some corny shit."

After the interview, Future let off a couple of tweets many believe to be a clapback at Jay'S most recent interview. "Same money u get we gettin too," he said in one tweet. "As long as they print it we gone get it.FREEBANDZ," Hendrix wrote in another.

Interestingly, if Future's money phone posting was indeed a shot at Hov, it might have actually been in response to lyrics on Hov's "Kill Jay Z" cut instead of the ones on "The Story of O.J." On the former track, Hov references the way he allegedly almost ruined his marriage to his wife Beyonce and took what many believed to be a shot at Future to make his point.

"You almost went Eric Benét, let the baddest girl in the world get away/I don’t even know what else to say… nigga, never go Eric Benét!/I don’t even know what you woulda done, in the Future, other niggas playin’ football with your son,” Jay spits on the track.

If you've been keeping score, you know Hendrix's son with Ciara, Future, has been spending quite a bit of time with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Ciara and Wilson have been dating for a few years now. See what we mean?
