Graphic Court Video Shows Orleans Parish Prison Inmates With Drugs, Handgun

In an ongoing argument over whether conditions at the Orleans Parish jail are unconstitutional, an extremely graphic video was played during a federal court hearing showing inmates doing drugs, chatting on cellphones - and at one point, even showing off a loaded handgun. There was even video footage of an inmate checking out of jail and partying on Bourbon Street.

One corrections expert called the the inmate violence in the jail the worst he's ever seen. In addition to video footage showing inmates shooting dice for cash and drinking Budweisers, one inmate is even seen shooting drugs into his arm. This is by far the craziest video footage I've ever seen when it comes to inmate behavior, and hopefully they can find a solution for reform soon.
