President Donald Trump is allowing the transition to begin.

Today, the General Services Administration officially recognized Joe Biden as the "apparent winner" of the Presidential Election.

According to Fox News, U.S. General Services Administration chief Emily Murphy notified Biden of the news. She says she did so after receiving threats online, by phone and by mail, which was acknowledged by President Trump on Twitter.

This comes on the same day that the Michigan board of canvassers certified the election results, giving the state's 16 electoral votes to Biden. This is the latest effort by the President and his legal team to challenge the vote in certain battleground states that was rejected by the courts.

Today's move by the GSA gives Biden the ability to coordinate with federal agencies as he plans to take over on January 20.
