On Tuesday night (Dec. 12), Doug Jones stunned the world by winning the Alabama Senate reace over Republican Roy Moore, becoming the state's first Democratic senator in 25 years. Now, a few tenants of the rap community have offered their takes on the situation.

For his part, Run The Jewels' rapper El-P, who's been known to express his political opinion, took something of a glass half empty approach. That sort of makes sense, because Jones' win was apparently a narrowly earned one. "phew! close call on the ol "pedophile for senate" thing, eh? yeah. reeeeeallly close," he wrote on Twitter, seemingly referencing the sexual predation accusations Moore's faced over the last several weeks.

For his part, T.I., who lives not too far away from the state, offered up his props to Alabama for making what he believes to be the right decision. "Proud of my neighbors in Ala. Power to the People!!!! Right on to the Real. #USorELSE," Tip wrote in a tweet that included a screenshot of a news story announcing Jones' win.

Big Boi and 2 Chainz also reacted to the news, but they didn't actually say much on the matter. Depending on how you feel about Moore, maybe they didn't have to.

Check out hip-hop's reaction to Jones' victory below. Watch him play "Teach Me How to Dougie" after his victory speech when you're done with that.
