Renowned arts-and-crafts retailer, Hobby Lobby, has announced its plans to open a new store in Opelousas. With a global reputation as the largest privately-owned arts-and-crafts store, Hobby Lobby operates in forty-seven states and employs over 43,000 individuals.

Shoppers can anticipate a vast selection from the store, which offers a range of over 70,000 items. The inventory includes home and seasonal decor, tableware, floral arrangements, art and craft supplies, yarn, fabric, materials for jewelry making, and numerous other hobby-related products.

The new Opelousas store is strategically positioned in the St. Landry Plaza, taking over the space formerly occupied by Stage. It will neighbor the popular store, Ollie’s. Conveniently situated on the I-49 Frontage Road and Heather Drive, the store is scheduled for a grand opening in the 1st Quarter of 2024.

Local residents and craft enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of the store, hoping to capitalize on its extensive product offerings for their creative endeavors.

We'll follow Central St. Landry Economic Development District for more details and provide updates when they become available.
