Amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis, it's sad to see some of our favorite restaurants, bars and local shops struggling. Some of them have already closed, and some of them aren't coming back.

If you've ever been to Destin, Florida, you no doubt have either visited or passed by the world famous Hog's Breath Saloon. It's located right on state hwy 98 in the heart of Destin, and has been the site of many a wild weekend over the years. It's more than a restaurant, they've got an extensive clothing and accessory line, and live music just about every night. Iit's a very popular place for tourists, and locals alike.

On March 17th Governor Rick DeSantis ordered all Florida restaurants statewide to reduce their capacity by 50 percent, and all bars and clubs to close for 30 days. Rumors started floating around immediately that the Hog's Breath was closing for good. They tried to dispel that with a post on their Facebook page (below), but according to Get The Coast, it's not clear what the future holds for the beloved eatery and bar. I have several friends who live in the area who are convinced that they won't re-open, but that is by no means the nail in the coffin for Hog's Breath. They have posted that all the branded clothing in their store is 50% off, but we're hoping for a triumphant return for this beloved Destin institution
