Hot 107.9 Teaming Up With UL For New Tradition In Ragin' Cajuns Student Tailgating

Ragin' Cajuns student tailgating has a new home for 2017!

This season, students will be pre-gaming for Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football games in a brand new spot. 2017 marks a new tradition in student tailgating as Ragin' Cajuns student tailgating will be going down at Bourgeois Park.

Students will be swapping the hot asphalt of their old tailgating location for the cool grass in Bourgeois Park, and the university is providing 40 FREE tailgating spots. Each tailgating space will include a 10x10 tent and will be available to student organizations or groups of friends to reserve.

Students must register for the available tailgating spots through OrgSync (Office of Student Engagement and Leadership) and are also welcome to bring their own tents. For students with no tent or reserved tailgating space, there will be a UPC tent available with water and games and Ragin' Cajuns concessions will be available for purchase.

The party only gets better as we here at Hot 1079 will be providing the music to keep the party bumping as the official student tailgate music provider. Coach Hud, along with captain players, spirit squads and the band, will stop by after Cajun Walk to host a pep-rally to get all the students hyped up before the game.

After student tailgating, students will get in parade formation and head to Cajun Field (Gate E) and to make entry into the stadium even easier staff will be set up in the student tailgate area offering a Fast Pass option—scanning Cajun Cards and handing out wristbands for those individuals to skip the line. (Fast Pass option stops 2 hours prior to kickoff)

Don't forget about the new clear bag policy, and be prepared to have any and all bags checked upon entry.
