House In Texas Purchased For $16

Looking for a good deal in real estate? How about a house for $16? In what could be described as the sale of the century, one former real estate agent was able to seal the deal due to an obscure law. This law will allow a person to pay for the paperwork that needs to be filed on a house that was foreclosed on, and the mortgage company who holds the lease goes out of business.

Neighbors aren't really happy about the deal and have tried to have him evicted, but the law is on Kenneth Robertson's side. If the original owner of the mortgage doesn't pay the balance off in 3 years, Ken can close the deal by petitioning the court for the deed.
