It is always heartbreaking to see when hardworking families lose everything in a house fire.

That happened earlier in the week when a Morse family's home was destroyed. Three people were inside the home along with two dogs.

The people were fast asleep when one of the dogs started barking.

Thankfully, everyone in the Gauthreaux family made it out, but the home was basically a total loss.

However, as you can imagine, picking up the proverbial pieces is not always easy. And that's where you come in.

A Facebook post by Emilee Goulas Gauthreaux details the needs of the family and how anyone looking to help out can do so.

This certainly sounds like a wonderful family that has a history of showing others kindness over the years. It would be great if Acadiana could reciprocate with the same type of giving.

Below are all the ways you can donate to the family:

  • An account with The Cotton Port Bank for them has been set up for those wishing to donate.
  • Venmo the family - @BrettandCassie-Gauthreaux or PayPal email is btechvolvo@hotmail.com
